Deployment of Hope: 51 Generators Supporting Myanmar in the Aftermath of the Earthquake

Three weeks have passed since the earthquake devastated Myanmar, leaving communities in dire need of support. Our organization quickly sprang into action to provide critical resources. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our sponsors, we successfully raised funds to deploy 51 generators to various essential organizations.
Supporting Hospitals
One of our main priorities was to equip hospitals with generators. We supplied seven critical healthcare facilities, each of which plays a vital role in treating those injured during the earthquake. These hospitals are essential for providing ongoing medical care to their communities. The facilities that received our support include:
Naypyidaw 1000 Bedded General Hospital: A major hospital that is crucial for treating severe cases.
Taungoo Railways Hospital: This facility handles numerous emergency cases daily.
Myitnge Railways Hospital: Known for its rapid response to patient needs.
ShweNyaung Hospital: Plays a central role in the community's healthcare.
Pyinmana Jivitadana Sangha Hospital: Important for serving local populations with medical care.
Sagaing Prison Hospital: Provides necessary medical attention to inmates.
Kyaukse General Hospital: Ensures that patients continue to receive treatment despite power outages.
By supplying generators to these hospitals, we help ensure that they can continue to operate efficiently, even during power interruptions. This direct support can significantly impact patient outcomes, particularly in emergencies.
Assistance to Monasteries and Nunneries
In our efforts, we also deployed generators to seven monasteries and nunneries that serve as shelters during crises. These facilities are often focal points for community support and aid. The monasteries that received our generators include:
Maha Kho Nan Monastery: Provides food and shelter to many affected families.
ZinawDaya Monastery: Acts as a refuge for those displaced.
Yatanar Theingi Nunnery: Supports women and children in need of care.
Jyotika Rama North Kraypin Monastery: A key center for distributing relief.
Arr Man Islam Rescuers Team Monastery: Offers logistical support during recovery.
Atwin Maiktila Buddhist Temple: Serves as a gathering space for community solidarity.
Through the deployment of these generators, we ensure these important shelters can function continuously, providing safety and hope to those affected by the earthquake.
Support for Rescue and Relief Teams
Our support extends to various rescue and relief teams operating in critically affected areas. Teams in Naypyidaw, Mandalay, Sagaing, Pyinmana, Taungoo, Myitnge, Pakokku, Shwe Bo Township, Thar Lay Swa Township, Ooh Bo Township, Kyaukse, Inle Lake, and Amarapura received generators.
By providing these teams with reliable power, we enhance their ability to conduct rescue operations and provide essential relief services effectively. This support is particularly vital in areas that continue to face challenges in the recovery process. For instance, after powering a relief center in Mandalay, operations increased by 40%, allowing more families to receive assistance in a shorter time frame.
